Petr is everything you want in a personal trainer. He has kickstarted my training and plans packed sessions that are always varied and leave me feeling positive about my training and myself. I have been working with him for only a couple of months so far and already can see and feel changes to my body. Petr provides great motivation and pushes you hard, ensuring you meet your objectives. He's a great guy too.

Training with Petr is awesome! In the past I had always struggled to see any results but after two months with Petr I not only felt great, but could see a huge change in my body.

His clear and thorough instruction and advice on perfect technique has made all the difference, and his ability to keep me motivated when I felt like quitting has kept me on track with my goals.

I used to hate hitting the gym, but now that I am seeing such great results, I really look forward to our training sessions.

Petr is a very engaging trainer, always encouraging and supportive, and he has also been a huge help on nutrition and supplements. Highly recommended! :)

I've had many trainers over the years - maybe too many - and none of them compare to Petr.
Petr brings an expert approach to training: he knows the body and how (and where) to push it to get results. He has almost a scientific approach to the workouts and what needs to be done. He introduces new and different exercises all the time, and rarely will you ever see the same workout twice. He knows when to train what and he knows how to get results. Everything from toning, building muscle, cardio, diet and overall well-being, Petr can cover it all.
I highly recommend Petr as a personal trainer, you won't be disappointed. The guy knows what he is doing - just look at him

Jason Budd - 15 November 2012

Training with Petr is never predictable, always focussed and almost (!)enough fun to make you forget how hard you are working. However, the results can be pretty serious if you put the work in.

Carlos Grande - 14 November 2012

Petr listens to the goals of his clents, creating a varied and results-driven training programme. Although he works you hard, sessions are enjoyable... despite the aching muscles the next day! Highly recommended.

S Parsons - 14 November 2012

If you are not really motivated and do not totally enjoy yourself in a gym and always stop an exercise just when it becomes exhausting - then Petr is the right person to get in touch with!

He really makes me work out and I can finally see results.
Best thing is, I actually enjoy it and love to go there. And when I am not in a good mood, I will be after the training, because Petr always is fun, friendly and charming.

I recommend Petr very much! But please leave some space in his diary for me :)

Marcel Bliesener - 13 November 2012

Petr is an excellent personal trainer. He knows how to motivate you, even when you are feeling tired and not ready to try your hardest. He makes the training interesting and fun and keeps pushing you to try and achieve the best results.
He is very busy but still provides a personal approach and is very flexible with finding training sessions to fit with one's busy schedule.
I would strongly recommend him to anyone who is looking to improve their general fitness and strength, as well as for motivation to fulfil their goals. He is a great trainer.

It is with great pleasure that I am able to write this testimony for Petr. I have had a few personal trainers in the past and I had thought that my last trainer had pretty much set the standard beyond what was possible to beat.

Nevertheless, after training with Petr for just one session, it was very clear to me that Petr has raised the standard into the stratosphere! Petr truly has an amazing breadth of talent and skill that marks him out as a natural master within the field of personal training.

Petr’s admirable tenacity and sheer drive serve me in making my goals realistic and achievable, whilst Petr’s enthusiasm and “never give up” attitude means my goals are always insight and that I am always on track.

Petr’s extensive professional knowledge and his ability to teach me patiently and effectively, means I have the knowhow and tools to be able to carry my efforts when on my own and inspire confidence in myself. Petr will always push me beyond what I think I can do and that feeling in itself is very rewarding when I succeed.

I look very much forward to training with Petr for years to come knowing, one way or another; he will always be able to push me hard. Petr is a very endearing man and I always have a bit of a laugh with Petr whilst training. I feel extremely privileged to be his client and therefore I cannot endorse nor recommend Petr enough to you, forget the rest in London and contact him, you shan’t regret it! –

I started training with Petr about six months ago, following a recommendation by a friend. I have found training with Petr, to be hugely beneficial, I always thought I knew what I was doing in the gym, and what sort of training program to follow, but now looking back over the last six months I can see just how much I have learnt and how much I have progressed, Petr adapts every workout, constantly coming up with innovative ideas which shocks the body and keeps the sessions fun & interesting. I have seen my body change and grow and I would highly recommend Petr to anyone looking for a personal trainer to help them achieve there goals, as working with Petr you certainly will!

Ed - 13 November 2012

I have been training with Petr for several months, and so Petr has encountered me in various moods and yet knows how to get the best out of me on any particular training day. Petr does not believe in letting stereotypical ideas and images hinder development, and so although I'm nearer 50 than 40 years old, Petr nevertheless has high expectations of what I can achieve physically. As far as he is concerned, dreams can become reality, as long as you are prepared to show determination and commitment. Petr always gives great value for money - at the end of each session, I really feel that I have worked hard and that progress is being made. Personally, I'm looking forward to discovering what shape my body can be moulded into, and I have no doubt that Petr is the trainer to help me fulfil my potential. I recommend him to you, too.

Since this field is not yet highly reagulted, anyone can call themselves a personal trainer. If they’re in good shape, you may be inclined to take them at their word. Resist the urge to do so, and check them out first. Here are some things to look for:Certification: First and foremost, make sure they are nationally certified. Some highly respected certifications are ISSA, NASM, ACSM, NSCA, AFFA, and ACE. There are others, of course, but I mention these because anyone can easily purchase a certification online for as little as $49.95. A quality certification is an investment of time and money, and can run as much as $600. Find out what agency your trainer is certified through and, if you’re unfamiliar with it, look it up. Although certification does not guarantee the trainer is excellent, it ensures that the trainer has met the minimal requirements of knowledge and professionalism. Your trainer should hold a CPR certification as well. This is pretty easy, as most certifying bodies require the trainer to be CPR certified before they issue their certificate. I will say this: There are certified trainers who are not very good, and there are good trainers out there who are not yet certified (this sometimes happens in gyms who hire trainers under the condition that they become certified within a certain period of time); however, a trainer looking to make a career out of fitness should have or at least be seeking a certification. Questions to ask: Through what organization are you certified? Are you CPR certified? May I see your proof of certification and CPR card? Experience: This will be more important if you are seeking trainer who is an independent contractor (one who is not an employee of a gym). I say this because – and I say this with caution – most gyms have qualified the trainers through their own methods to reduce their liability. This does not mean a trainer who just started is bad – everyone has to start somewhere. This does not mean all trainers who work in gyms are good – some gyms are looking at the bottom line and hire anyone who calls themselves a trainer (see paragraph one). Your goal is to find out how committed this person is to fitness. Question to ask: How long have you been a personal trainer? Insurance: This is for independent trainers. If she works for a gym, the gym insures her. An independent contract treats this as her business, not just another job, and should have her own liability insurance.Question to ask: May I see your liability insurance card or certificate? Appearance: Do they look the part? They do not have to look like a fitness model or bodybuilder, as everyone has different goals, but they should look relatively fit. Ask yourself: Am I in better shape than my trainer? Pricing: Find out his pricing and policies. Do not choose a trainer solely based on price. This may work for gasoline, but this is your body! A trainer’s rates are not just based on what they do when they are with you, it’s for the time spent on you on his own time. Assuming your trainer does not just hand you some one-size-fits-all diet plan, some valuable time was spent figuring out your caloric intake and providing eating suggestions. A good trainer should value their time. If they don’t, why should you? In general, the cost of a personal trainer will be anywhere from $30-$75 per hour. Of course, depending on your area, your trainer’s clientele, or your trainer’s athletic status, you can expect to pay $100 or more per hour. I’m not saying the most expensive is always the best, but if a trainer only charges $20 per hour on a pay as you go agreement, ask yourself why you’re getting such a low rate.Questions to ask: How much do you charge? Is payment due up front? What is the cancellation policy? Other qualities to consider:Advice: You need someone who actually knows how to put together a program for YOU, not just the one that works for them. If they push you to use questionable supplements, be cautious. Information: They should be able to show you correct form for maximal results and to prevent injury. A personal trainer is more than a “rep counter”.Personality: Do you like them? Your trainer will be working very closely with you and know details of your life. Are you comfortable with them? Are they honest? They should listen to you, not just talk about themselves. Referrals: Talk to others who have worked with this trainer. Are they well liked? Do they give sound advice? Are they professional? Are they on time? Are they firm but fair? Specifics: Are they knowledgeable in the area you need? For example, if you are a bodybuilder, you need your trainer to have some knowledge in that area. If you’re pregnant, the same goes.Don’t be afraid to ask questions! A qualified trainer will be eager to answer your questions and show you their qualifications. Do your homework, and you are sure to find the trainer that is right for you!

Taking yourself to the gym doesn't necessarily translate into getting a good workout - even with the best will in the world, it's often hard to push past your comfort zone to exert the level of effort that will allow you to achieve meaningful results. This is where it's really useful having a personal trainer - someone to inspire you, to coax you along, to challenge you, and perhaps at times to bully you. I've trained with a couple of trainers with different motivational styles since I joined a gym 2 years ago, but linking up with Petr has made all the difference in helping me to get the most out of my exercise routines. Where Petr stands ahead of the others is in the trust that he engenders, and in the way that he gets personally vested in the achievement of results. Petr inspires confidence as much from his manner as from the fact that he has obviously developed a wealth of knowledge about exercise, nutrition, and physiology. He is meticulous in his approach to training, and his attention to detail and total recall of health and injury histories mean that his routines are always perfectly tailored to his client's individual goals - in my case, rehabilitation of a shoulder injury through strength conditioning, and increased muscle development. Petr is also an incredibly effective motivator, not through glib pep talks or flattery, but through his real belief in the possibility of continual improvement through dedicated effort, and in the pride that he shares in each client's individual achievements. I am constantly amazed by the incremental gains that I am making - in appearance, in general fitness, and, by extension, in self esteem. Petr has made it possible for me to sustain my momentum beyond our sessions by taking care to transfer knowledge of targeted routines and of proper form. With his encouragement I have developed a real enjoyment of exercise, and a commitment to following this lifestyle change. (Thanks Petr!)

"Petr is a fantastic trainer. I lived in LA for many years, and was well used to the best. Petr is as good as any of them. He works WITH the client, and adapts to each, personally - while at the same time pushing to one's own personal best. He is imaginative, and open to new and interesting ways of training. The other day it was gloriously sunny, and I suggested we went into Battersea park to train (mainly, because I wanted some sun!) which is near to where I live. Petr was immediately up for it, even if it was a little out of his way; and he gave me as good a session as I have ever had in any gym with all the equipment. Whether you want a traditional 'gym' training session, or something outside in the sun, I can thoroughly recommend Petr. "

"I have found personal training with Petr to be a great experience. He knows how to push me to my limits, and motivate me, and he takes no nonsense! Petr is always bright, cheerful and witty, and I always leave feeling better in spirits as well as body. My workout routines and technique have improved enormously, and when I am consistent, the results are great. Highly recommended expert trainer, and a lovely guy."

Andrew Parker

"I'd always thought I was reasonably active, but had found that my gym sessions were having less effect as time went on, and that as a result my sporting performance had dropped. Over the last year, Petr has got me back on track; boosted my confidence in the gym considerably; challenged my stamina and endurance levels; and given me longer term goals with a programme I find easy to work to on my own. He's also great company - the sessions are fun and varied - and he's always extremely accommodating and flexible, whilst managing to keep me focussed on my goals. I now feel fitter and more in shape than I have done for several years. I would recommend Petr to anyone looking to improve their fitness or revitalise their fitness programme - or just for being an all round thoroughly decent guy."

"Petr is a fantastic personal trainer who has allowed me to start to achieve my targets over the last few months. He listened to my goals and tailored my overall fitness programme accordingly. He has great motivational skills, even very early in the morning when I train and he has been extremely professional in his whole approach with me.

I wholeheartedly recommend him to you!"

"Petr has been an amazing personal trainer. Since we start following his training we have achieved our goals. Number 1 was loosing weight (fat) than gaining weight (muscle). Important things we see in Petr are:

  • Motivating trainer when it comes to keep you going, specially when you are tired, he doesn′t let you give up
  • Funny person, sometimes we are not in the good mood and he changes that
  • Determined, he wants to see us achieving our objectives
  • Being surprise, always with something new, never get bored of his training
We are very happy with his training. Petr is a complete personal trainer."
